Pietro Valaguzza holds a degree in Economics from Bocconi University.
Since 2007 he has gained experience in climate and sustainability policies, sustainable finance and disclosure activities according to different frameworks (GRI, TCFD, etc.), specializing in ESG risk assessment, sustainability-linked financial products and climate risk assessment. Peter works on EU climate policies, including the EU sustainable finance framework, carbon market mechanisms, energy efficiency and energy from renewable supplies. His experience includes extensive knowledge of international frameworks on low GHG emissions accounting, carbon removal technologies, MRV, CDR and CCS policies, climate and environment related risks, and in particular, he has developed a deep understanding of the mechanisms of international financial institutions in the climate sector. Peter is an experienced and well-known manager and consultant in EU climate change related issues and corporate climate governance (materiality, dual materiality, CSDR, TCFD, EU taxonomy, etc.). He is, in addition, a member of WEMC (World Energy & Meteorology Council), ISSP (International Society of Sustainability Professionals), EAPPP (European Association of Public-Private Partnerships), and the Advisory Board of the ESP (Environmental Science and Policy) Department of the University of Milan. In 2022 and 2023, he was an Ambassador of the European Climate Pact.
Ramona Caria, since 2013, has gained experience in climate and sustainability policies, specializing in ESG metrics and criteria, carbon markets, energy efficiency, and renewable energy production. She is an ‘expert in European climate and sustainable finance policies. She is involved in the design and implementation of EU climate policies, including the EU Sustainable Finance Framwork, the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU-ETS), the Carbon Removals Certification Framework (CRCF), and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), with expertise that includes the various market mechanisms, efficiency, and incentives for renewable energy at national and international levels. He has strong experience in energy and environmental markets, focusing particularly on carbon markets such as EU-ETS and voluntary carbon markets (VCM). Its portfolio consists of energy intensive companies, mainly part of those sectors covered by EU ETS legislation (including steel, cement, paper, glass, ceramics, and aviation), along with utilities, consulting firms, and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). The main areas of interest include carbon removal technologies, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and strategies for energy-intensive industries to meet carbon neutrality targets.
Filippo Banfichi, a graduate in Chemical Engineering, is an expert on the EU-ETS mechanism, climate policies and CO2 emission reduction strategies, with over 25 years of experience in environmental consulting for energy intensive industries. He is an “Expert in Energy Management” (EGE) and has developed specific know-how in the field of energy efficiency, energy management systems, decarbonization strategies (GHG Protocol), Carbon Footprint and LCA; in particular, on issues related to EU-ETS and VCMs, he keeps himself constantly updated through consulting activities provided for the corporate world that IFI.

Alessia Agostini, a graduate in Environmental Sciences, is an expert in EU-ETS MRV, climate policies and CO2 emission reduction strategies, with more than 20 years of experience in environmental consulting and application of the EU-ETS mechanism. In the course of her professional experience, she has attended several refresher courses on Emission Trading issues, keeping her knowledge constantly updated with application both to companies included in the Directive and to Certification Bodies for which she has also acted as auditor for annual audits.

Giacomo, who holds a degree in Agricultural Sciences and is close to completing a master’s degree in Environmental and Food Economics at the University of Milan, has gained experience in climate policy, carbon markets (ETS and VCM), and sustainable finance since joining Kickster. In 2018, participating in the project activities of the “Future We Want Model UN” program, organized by the United Nations in New York, he developed skills in socioeconomic development and international policy. His skills cover a wide range of areas, including climate change policy, sustainability accounting and natural resource economics, policy frameworks, techno-economic assessments, carbon markets, sustainable finance tools, and environmental market modeling. He also specializes in conducting technical reports and providing strategic assistance in carbon credits projects, carbon removal feasibility studies, and capture and storage.
