ESG supply-chain
risk assessment

What is it?

ESG SUPPLY-CHAIN RISK ASSESSMENT is a consultancy service that allows companies to understand and map the ESG risks along the supply chain. The analysis is based on the ESG ASSESSMENT CORPORATE* methodology developed by Kickster, to evaluate the ESG performance of companies, based on shared criteria and in compliance with international best practices.

*The evaluation system analyzes sustainability performance on the basis of 81 criteria associated with E/S/G classes, divided into 6 areas of analysis:
– risk management, sustainability communication,
– human capital development,
– corporate governance strategies
– supply-chain management,
– integrated ESG policies
Moreover, each criteria is correlated wit the GRI standards and the 17 United Nations Sustainable development Goals (SDGs), and in 2023 it was integrated with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
The analysis provides KPIs and a synthetic ESG rating.
Data collection can take place via KICKSTER’s cloud solution.

ESG SUPPLY-CHAIN RISK ASSESSMENT is suitable for companies interested in mapping and monitoring the ESG risks of their suppliers and evaluate their performance, having common and comparable KPIs.

Moreover, the analysis can be integrated with procurement policies and the evaluation can become a qualifying element for the Official Supplier Register.

The supply chain ESG risk assessment methodology is based on Kickster’s ESG ASSESSMENT CORPORATE methodology* and can be modified based on specific client‘s needs, including qualitative and quantitative elements for the rating system, based on a materiality analysis carried out on the supply chain.

Moreover, specific audits on Environmental, Social and Governance pillars can be defined.
The definition of criteria and verification tests for the integration of an ESG risk assessment system can be part of the corporate ERM framework, with the goal of reducing risk exposure and creating favorable conditions for improving corporate performance.

Once the analysis has been performed, Kickster delivers an independent and impartial opinion on the alignment with the principles of the methodology, with a detailed justification for each criteria, according to a scale that includes 4 classes based on the specific greenwashing risk (not adequate – moderately adequate – aligned – compliant).
